Beatle Jazz

BeatleJazz consists of drummer Brian Melvin, known for his work with the legendary Jaco Pastorius; pianist David Kikoski (Roy Haynes, Mingus Big Band, Randy Brecker); and bassist Charles Fambrough (Art Blakey, Grover Washington, Jr.). Bay Area drummer Brian Melvin has led his own trios and quartets through the ‘90s and formed BeatleJazz in 1999. Bassist Fambrough is an alumnus of the school of Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers (1980-82). Prior to that, the Philadelphia bassist had stints with such renowned Philly musicians as McCoy Tyner (1978-80) and Grover Washington, Jr.
