Randy Barrett and the Barretones

Songwriter Randy Barrett is also an award-winning vocalist and a master of the guitar and banjo. His songwriting has won numerous awards (including First Place in the Folk category for “Hold Me Forever” in the 1995 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest) and he earned four Washington Area Music Association awards (WAMMIE awards) for Best Male Vocalist in the Bluegrass and Traditional Folk categories. Barrett has performed at the Birchmere, the Library of Congress, the Rocky Mountain and Washington Folk Festivals and the Bluebird Café in Nashville, as well as the Kennedy Center. He performs regularly at festivals and concerts around the Mid-Atlantic region, both solo and occasionally with an acoustic combo.
