Brass Band del Ecuador

The Brass Band del Ecuador was established in 2000 by the Fundación Brass Band del Ecuador (FBBE) to offer musical education to children and young adults who love music. The training these young people receive creates opportunities for a career in music. The musical director of the FBBE is Jorge Pachacama, a young Ecuadorian musician with a strong commitment to musical education. Since its founding, the Brass Band has performed widely in Ecuador, traveled to Switzerland to participate in the 7th International Festival of European Youth Bands, and performed at the United Nations. On their current tour in the United States they have performed in Oregon and New York City, including a performance at the George Gustav Heye Center of the National Museum of the American Indian.
