Howard Briebart is one of Washington’s most sought-after pianists, serving as pianist-musical director at such area theaters as Arena Stage, MetroStage, and Ford’s Theatre. For ten years, he was musical director for the American Songs series at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. Most recently, Howard played keyboards in the orchestra for the Kennedy Center’s Sondheim Celebration production of Sunday in the Park with George. He has also acted as pianist-musical director for A Broadway Christmas Carol at Roundhouse Theatre and is currently at work on musical arrangements for A Christmas Carol Rag for the Signature Theatre’s 2002-03 season. Also, Howard can be frequently seen and heard as pianist for The Capitol Steps.
