Ceoltoiri Celtic Ensemble

The Ceoltoiri Celtic Ensemble is Karen Ashbrook, Connie McKenna, Sue Richards and guest multi-instrumentalist Paul Oorts. Ceoltoiri’s CD "Women of Ireland" received the 1998 Wammie Award for "Best Celtic Recording," given by the Washington Area Music Association. Band performances include the Savannah Irish Festival, National Geographic, and for the presentation of the Paul O’Dwyer Peace and Justice Award ceremony to President Clinton at the White House. Karen Ashbrook (hammered dulcimer/wooden flute/pennywhistle) teaches and performs at festivals and music camps around the country. Her instructional books are published by both Mel Bay and Oak Publications.
