Cine Latino

Vision: Cine Latino seeks to increase awareness of the Latin American culture in the general public & help underprivileged youths to reconnect with their heritage through the medium of film. Mission: Cine Latino is a bilingual monthly film lecture series showcasing Latino filmmakers and their films. Cine Latino reaches out to the general public and specifically to the Latino community of the Washington, DC area. Presentation: Each monthly event will last up to 2 ½ hours. A short film (fiction, animation or documentary of less than 15 minutes) and a feature film will be programmed.

A local Latino film crew followed director Gabriel Garcia as he created his award-winning short fiction film Timeless, a story based on the influence of Hispanics in the American Revolution. Cine Latino is a project of the D.C. Independent Film Festival.
