Dragana Jugovic del Monaco

Mezzo-soprano Dragana del Monaco obtained her honors degree in voice from the School of Arts and Music at Belgrade University in Serbia. In 1989, she pursued further studies at the Milan State Conservatory. In addition to Italian, she has studied and sang in Russian, German, English and French. She made her opera debut in the role of Rosina in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad where she also performed La forza del destino and Eugene Onegin.  She has appeared on numerous European stages, including: Eugene Onegin and Carmen at Stadttheater in Lucerne, Switzerland; Il barbiere di Siviglia at Teatr Wielki in Warsaw, Poland; Tamerlano and La fida ninfa at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Italy; La Traviata at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Italy; Rigoletto at Cagliari Teatro in Sardinia and Trapani of Sicilia, Italy; Maddalena in Andrea Chenier at Teatro Massimo di Palermo in Italy; Azucena in Il Trovatore in Oslo, Norway; Lola in Cavalleria rusticana at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Spain; and Olga in Eugene Onegin at the Palacio Festivales, Santander, Spain.
