Artists of the Yi and Wa ethnic groups from Yunnan Province—the most ethnically diverse in China—demonstrate their unique folk traditions. Connecticut College’s Dance Department has been instrumental in developing the presentation and preservation of ethnic cultures in Yunnan China through the China Yunnan/Mekong Project, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. In cooperation with Connecticut College Dance Department.
