Opera Noir celebrates the heritage and contributions of African American composers and artists as they relate to classical and gospel idioms. As part of the weekend of the 2005 Kennedy Center Honors, the group performs music inspired by the artistry of opera star and 1997 Kennedy Center Honoree Jessye Norman.
