Brazilian vocalist Eduardo Costa, who got his start in musical theater and singing backup for Oswaldo Montenegro, received the Pedro Ernesto Medal in 2004 for his work in the restoration of popular music composed since 1950. Presented in cooperation with the Embassy of Brazil.
