Colombian vocalist Petrona Martínez is the heiress to a long tradition of bullerengue—an Afro-Colombian dance rhythm originating in the small towns of Bolívar and Córdoba, originally sung only by pregnant women confined to their homes. Presented in cooperation with the Embassy of Colombia.
