A D.C. native, Dashiell is a jazz vocalist, 2010 alumnus of the Center's Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead, and graduate of Howard University, where she was a member of the premier vocal jazz ensemble Afro Blue. Part of the 17th Annual Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Festival.
