This beautiful work of art was commissioned by the Kennedy Center from Timothy Richards of Bath, England, whose fine architectural models, entirely handmade, are renowned for their beauty, detail, and charm.

Cast of pure British gypsum plaster and detailed with pure copper, this model is inspired by the decades of performances and the celebration of the performing arts that defines the Kennedy Center.

The base is inscribed with President Kennedy's famous quote:
I am certain that after the dust of centuries has passed over our cities, we, too, will be remembered not for victories or defeats in battle or in politics, but for our contribution to the human spirit.

The model is also available with Shakespearean actors decorating the model
