Jacqueline Kennedy Collection Crystal Loop RingDuring the Kennedy Administration, Jacqueline Kennedy wore very few rings. Occasionally, she would wear her wedding ring and one additional ring from her collection.
She chose this ring for herself in late 1971. As she got older, Jackie became self-conscious of her hands—thinking they were too big and flawed. She reasoned that wearing a large, sparkly ring everyone would look at it rather than the imperfections on her hands.
As styles changed, Jackie was at the forefront sporting tasteful collections of rings on her fingers. Eventually she found herself needing silver-hued rings. She purchased a number of them in white gold and platinum but none in actual silver. This ring was purchased at Tiffany’s in New York and was worn by Jackie into the 1990s.
