Washington National Opera Announces New Wave of Artistic Initiatives
WNO has announced several new initiatives as part of a long-range plan to build on its tradition of artistic excellence, including the Washington premiere of Richard Wagner’s complete “American Ring” cycle in 2016 and a multipart New American Works Project for young American composers and librettists.

Jason Moran Named Artistic Advisor for Jazz
The Kennedy Center has named pianist Jason Moran as its Artistic Advisor for Jazz effective immediately. Mr. Moran will assist programming one of the largest jazz programs in the U.S. He succeeds the late Dr. Billy Taylor in the position.
