Job Title: IT Project Manager, Portfolio Management

Duties:
This position will provide high level monitoring oversight of the portfolio of information technology projects. It will support the IT Governance process by ensuring that proposed projects and activities are adequately researched and specific measurable (where possible) business benefits have been identified, and that adequate tracking and measurement of approved projects and activities is maintained and reported (includes progress and results).

Responsibilities Include:

Manage intake of IT requests, work with requestor and business owner to document justifications and business cases, work with appropriate IT team members to generate options, and establish alignment with strategic plans. Prepare materials for and record decisions of the IT Governance committee. Coordinate annual planning and budgeting process to ensure completeness and alignment between teams and with overall strategic plan.

Track and report progress of projects Oversee and provide project management oversight to cross functional projects. Create and enforce standards to be used in project execution (project plans, risk management, success metrics).

Facilitate and report findings of post project reviews and make recommendations to continually improve quality. Collect and monitor success metrics after project completion. Derive and report learnings to IT teams/IT Governance committee.
Education/Experience/Skills
Strong formal project management background in a software development environment – PMP preferred. Demonstrated track record of meeting project milestones and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communications.
