Instrument "Petting Zoos"

Hands on fun with instruments! Children (and their parents) have the chance to get up close and personal with the orchestral instruments they will see professionally played on stage. A project of the Women's Committee for the National Symphony, instrument "petting zoos" inhabit the Kennedy Center prior to NSO Family Concerts, NSO Kinderkonzerts, and NSO Teddy Bear Concerts as a variation of the "zoos" called "Musical Playtime." The "petting zoos" also have traveled to THEARC and are part of the annual NSO In Your Neighborhood program.
