Serve when you can!

Love to volunteer, love the arts, but have only a limited amount of time available? You can join the Festival/Event team of volunteers, who assist with many volunteer opportunities at the Kennedy Center.

Consisting of over 1,000 individuals ages 18 to 93, with more joining every day, we could not run our volunteer program without this terrific team of volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities

Once you sign up for the Festival/Event volunteer program, you will receive periodic emails with volunteer opportunities.

Here are a few of the many opportunities you will be offered:

  • Administration support in the Friends office
  • Washington National Opera's Opera in the Outfield at Nationals Park
  • Festivals
  • Instrument Petting Zoo with the National Symphony Orchestra's Women's Committee
  • Auditions needs for various departments at the Kennedy Center, including theater and dance programming
  • And so much more!
