Chelsea Saari (Corps de ballet) trained at The School of Ballet Arizona, under the direction of Kee-Juan Han, Maria Simonetti, Truman Finney, and Nadya Zubkov. Chelsea joined Ballet Arizona in 2006 and has performed in Don Quixote, Raymonda, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Les Sylphides, Paquita, Konservatoriet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Serenade, “Rubies” from Jewels, Theme and Variations, La Sonnambula, The Four Temperaments, and Stravinsky Violin Concerto. She has also performed many of Ib Andersen’s ballets including Pas de Sept Rossini, Mosaik, 1052, Dance of the Hours, and Play. Chelsea has danced soloist roles in Giselle (Moyna), Napoli, Romeo and Juliet, La Valse, The Sleeping Beauty (Lilac Fairy and Woodland Glade fairy), Frederick Ashton’s Five Brahms Waltzes in the manner of Isadora Duncan,and La Bayadère. This is Chelsea’s first season with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet.
