The Balanchine Couple

This dynamic program features nine Balanchine pas de deux presented with live onstage narration by Artistic Director, Suzanne Farrell.  This program is presented in loose chronology, following George Balanchine’s early interest in Greek drama, the development of his abstract style, to his work establishing himself as an American choreographer.  This crowd pleasing program is excellent for educating audiences that may not be familiar to classic repertoire.  The Balanchine Couple includes repertoire from:

“The Balanchine Couple” is performed in three acts.

Running Time averages two hours including narrations and two twenty-minute intermissions.
This program requires a minimum of fourteen dancers and can be performed to live or canned music.
