Welcome to Lilly's Light Bulb Lab! In Kevin Kling's play adaptation of Kevin Henkes' book, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse, Mr. Slinger, Lilly's teacher, describes what the light bulb lab is for: "If something is troubling you or wants to burst out, bring that feeling to the light bulb lab and put it on paper. You can draw it, paint it, cut, color, or paste. Then you can save the good feeling forever or crumple up a bad one and throw it away." Lilly responds, "That is one powerful place." So, come into our Light Bulb Lab. Here you can print out the frame and draw whatever you wish. (You could even draw a picture of what you saw at the play!) The most important part of the light bulb lab is to have fun and use your IMAGINATION! Just click on Lilly and she will take you to our Light Bulb Lab. When you are finished with your creation, feel free to share it with us! Send in the picture with your first name and your age and we will post a few of these drawings, so that everyone can enjoy them! Send your creations to: The
John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts
