Yasuki Fukushima

Exclamatory poet Yasuki Fukushima, best known for zekkyo (shouted) tanka, performs some of his works. Similar to haiku, but older, tanka poems are 31 syllables long and evoke a moment or mark an occasion with concision and musicality. The performance will include piano accompaniment by Masato Nagahata.
