Celebrating Japanese Cuisine at the Kennedy Center Restaurants
During the festival, make a reservation at the Roof Terrace Restaurant to enjoy spectacular views while feasting on a variety of dinner options, including Chef de Cuisine Karen Hayes's three-course menu featuring Tuna Sashimi Napoleon, Miso-marinated Black Cod, and a Japanese-themed dessert. On February 7, Japanese chef Makoto Takamura will prepare a special prix-fixe meal. For reservations and more information about these Roof Terrace Restaurant events, call (202) 416-8555.
World-renowned sake expert John Gauntner hosts "The World of Sake" - a special three-course dinner, sake tasting, and discussion February 14 & 15 in the Roof Terrace Restaurant. For reservations, call (202) 416-8396.
For a more casual lunch or dinner without reservations, head to the KC Café for a Bento Box - a Japanese-style meal served in a colorful segmented box and typically including fish or meat, rice, and vegetables. All dining venues and intermission bars will serve sake and other Japanese beverages like Kirin Ichiban beer and green tea.
