In celebration of the 24th Kennedy Center Honors, the Millennium Stage pays tribute to 1994 Honoree Pete Seeger. Instrumental in popularizing the indigenous American song, his own compositions - among them "If I Had a Hammer," "We Shall Overcome," "Turn, Turn, Turn," and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" have served as anthems for an entire generation. The program of film, words and music will feature Seeger's friends and family including Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, grandson of Pete Seeger, and Sarah Lee Guthrie, granddaughter of Woody Guthrie.
