Taking its name from the Arabic word for “exchange,” The Tabadol Project is part of the Performing Artists Cultural Visitors Program, a U.S. Department of State initiative to build and strengthen relationships among diverse world cultures. For the project’s premiere presentation on the Millennium Stage, jazz musician Gene Coleman works with Lebanese artists Raed Yassin, Mazen Kerbaj, Christine Sehnaoui, and Ziad Ahmadieh to create a multimedia performance blending traditional and contemporary styles. Presented by the Kennedy Center and the U.S. Department of State.
