BOB HILLMAN
About the Artist
RAn award-winning songwriter, Bob Hillman moved to New York in late 1994 and became a part of the singer/songwriter community there. After working that circuit for a couple of years, his music caught the ear of Tommy West (Jim Croce, Cashman & West), who produced Hillman's CD, "Playing God." Hillman won the songwriting contest at the 1999 Tucson Folk Festival. He placed 5th and 6th in the 1998 and 1999 Telluride Troubadour competitions, and received honorable mention in the 1998 Fast Folk Song Contest. Prior to his musical career, Hillman captained the Stanford University menÆs volleyball team to a berth in the Final Four, played professional beach volleyball, and taught skiing in Copper Mountain, Colorado. At present Hillman prepares high school students for the SAT and other standardized tests.
