Karen Reedy, a 2008 recipient of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' Local Dance Commissioning Project, has been granted this prestigious award to support the creation of a new work for the Millennium Stage.  Reedy's Premiere, Sleepwalking, incorporates the audience into her dreamscape that addresses falling asleep, insomnia, lullabies, "sweet dreams", and nightmares.

The mission of Karen Reedy Dance is to enrich the community's culture through live modern dance performance and education. Performing the works of Karen Reedy, as well as a diverse range of repertory, this company aims to create an environment to celebrate, nurture, and promote the artistic field of dance, by providing high quality dance productions, education, and accessibility.
