Jonathan Hoffman, Fredericsburg I HAVE SEEN THE ATERCIOPELADOS PERFORMANCE, AND I REALLY ENJOYED IT. THEY ARE AWESOME!! CONGRATULATIONS KENNEDY CENTER, STILL BRINGING GOOD BANDS FROM COLOMBIA AND LATIN AMERICA. JAMES M .N., Germantown, M.D. I saw Ensemble Tartit, a group from Mali, West Africa, for the first time at the millenium stage and was taken away by their rhythmic percussion and high octaves!! They were hypnotizing with their drums and smooth voices almost calling my soul to jump out and dance! They are an excellent musical group and shortly after the concert I ran out and bought their CD and convinced 3 of my friends to do the same! Thanks for bringing such great music to the D.C area for free and keep it up because you efforts are definitely recognized and appreciated:) Global Child, D.C. The best performance and everyone loved matt May F., Milington Just saw Bob Hillman as half of a 'Writer's Night' on the Millennium Stage. He deserves a whole hour; have him back as soon as you can! Steve Bogart,VA The performances are all extremely well done, and the Center represents
so much of what's good with our country. I was recently in D.C. for a school trip, and really enjoyed the
Watterson:Carthy performance. When I got home, I played several
of the other archived performances, and have decided to listen to
the latest performances as much as possible. The Shenandoah Shakespeare Express performance of A Midsummer Night's
Dream was fantastic. I brought a couple of friends visiting from
out of town, and we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly--hadn't laughed
so hard in a very long time! Thank you for such a fun (and free)
evening. I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED THE PERFORMANCES OF THE MILLENNIUM STAGE
AND IT IS NICE THAT WE HAVE ART AND CULTURE FOR FREE AND THAT MAKES
IT ACCESSIBLE FOR EVERYONE. THAT'S WHY I LOVE BEING FROM AND LIVING
IN WASHINGTON. What a treat to be able to scoot down to the Kennedy Center from
Montgomery County! And to be able to see a great performance for
free. Hey alright! I especially love the Millenium shows for kids!

have been written by a true fan. Thanks again. I love the millenium stage. Last year I saw Jon Simon play his
piano. This year I saw Da Vinics Notebook last month. They were
funny and sang great. On September 14th I saw the NSO Schubert/Beethoven

to hear -- wind and brass music. We don't have nearly enough of
that genre available. What a wonderful program! Thanks for bringing ALL of us the music of these outstanding artists. I loved Darryl Purpose's performance! Peggy Thompson, Ormond Beach FL Amanda Barragan, McLean VA Thanks so much for making a huge variety of good quality music

it's kinda good 'cause it's free and players are GOOD!!!! It is one of the best sites no doubt. I really enjoyed the Rondo Alla Turk Duo. I would
love to see them perform here again. Thank you to Gary and Bill for the New Hampshire
ethnic music concert tonight(5/10/2000). Tonight is my father Roman
Szymanski's 75th birthday, and we have been drinking wine and enjoying
the concert via the Web. Bravo Gary and Bill!! It was great seeing and hearing my little sister's

the Center. I'm so proud! Wonderful to be able to see my nephew PZ 1 (pete)

website that promotes the arts. I will visit again. Thank you for broadcasting the live performances
from the Millennium Stage. It gave me the great pleasure of watching
my son Clay's orchestra from Caddo Parish Magnet High School perform

your web site I have also enjoyed several of the archived performances.
I know Clay and his friends will enjoy watching their own performance
when they return. These talented young people all work very hard,
and we at home are very proud of their performance today. They have
represented their school and city well. Thank you for showcasing
their talents and for promoting the arts for us all. Herman Villanueva, Lima Peru Elizabeth, Star Tannery VA Great show! Jake Krack. Very interesting concept
over the internet. Hope teachers pick this up more. Carol Ponder is one of our great treasures in Nashville.
We catch her in town whenever she performs, and I'm thrilled that
she had this venue through which to share her prodigious talent.
Thank you, Kennedy Center, for promoting the arts in this way, and
for making her performance available to us.
The performance by Seventh Heaven on March 9, 2000
was great. What a bunch of talented singers. Their director is the
greatest too.
I came to the page to specifically see my son perform on the East
Coast while living on the West Coast - Hilltop High School Music
Tech Ensemble. The Audio quality was outstanding, but believe
the Camera operator (if there is one) should pan the players with
close ups a little more often. Courtney Dodson, USA
I think that the Millennium Stage is a wonderful opportunity for
people to get out and explore the arts! Thanks for the opportunity. Viacheslav Dinerchtein, Baltimore MD

public exposure on a grand scale. It also allows the public to
sample many different styles and types of music with very little

Thans for showing this for no cost it helps students to learn
more about a specific place without a cost hanging over their
head.
I attended the Saturday preview performance of Rob K. cityscape
of Washington monuments. It was exciting to witness a piece "in
the making" and to directly communicate with the composer and
musicians. Beautiful music and inspiring themes. I liked the involvement
of the students in the composition process--and I wish great success
to all in the final production (especially Donnell, the young
"rapper"--Go for it, Donnell!!!) Thanks to the Kennedy Center

a great idea, it will expose this music to many people for the first

they show in this website is enough and complete to give us an
idea of what we are missing! Have an everyday-performance! Don't
miss it, and won't regret!

are cut out. Could you save that for us???? Cheerio... Danielle, CA, USA
I'm very excited to find this website, because I performed on
the Millenium Stage in the Kennedy Arts Center last year. I performed
on May 29, 1998 with a show choir. We were the first high school
group to ever perform on the stage as a professional group. Our
entire show was around one hour. We were broadcasted across the
united states. It was a huge honor and an experience I'll never
forget. Not only did we perform here, but also infront of the
Capitol Building where the president gives his inaguration speech,
inside the capitol rotunda, in the senate rotunda, and in the
Washington Cathedral. It was a blast and an experience I'll never
forget.

ENJOY THIS PLACE VERY MUCH, I LOOK FORWARD TO COMING BACK. Hi,
everyone. I would just like to say that I think the Kennedy Center
is an awesome place to be. I was just blessed to have been able
to perform there at the Festival Of Gold with my high school chorale.
We were there on Mon., May 3, and I have never participated in
anything quite like it. And I don't mean the Millenium stage,
I mean THE stage. You know, the one that seats, like, 6 or 7 thousand
people. Least to say, it was an incredible experince. If anyone
who reads this was there, please contact me to share your thoughts.
