How to Get Involved
As an Author/ Illustrator:
Participation in the book festival is by invitation only. To be considered for the festival, authors & illustrators should have at least 3-4 titles to their credit, including a recently published title, and have garnered national recognition. Authors and illustrators who wish to be considered for future festivals should have their representatives fax a list of titles and list of awards/recognition to:

Upon reviewing the materials, festival staff will only contact the authors and illustrators who are being considered for the festival.

If you would like to put your name into the festival volunteer database before the applications are posted, send your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and festival of interest to vols@kennedy-center.org.
