Babylon Gardens
Circle Repertory Theatre, New York, NY

A vital examination of homelessness, drugs, euthanasia, mental and emotional health, Babylon Gardens follows a nurse and a painter as they confront personal losses, including the death of an infant son. Set against the all-too-familiar tragedies of modern urban America, their difficult, personal search for solutions and hope is nevertheless laced with humor and informed by a sense of vigor and love of life.

Tim Mason has written Only You and Levitation, both produced by the Circle Repertory. His other credits include Before I Got My Eye Put Out, staged at the South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, California; Bearclaw, produced at Seattle Repertory Company's Other Stage; and In A Nothern Landscape, produced by the Actors Theatre of Louisville. A recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Playwriting Fellowship, Mason has taught writing most recently at the University of Oklahoma.
