Fund for New American Plays

Established Price
Philadelphia Festival Theatre for New Plays, Philadelphia, PA

In Established Price, the general counsel of a large corporation is one of the people most responsible for the company's growth. Ironically, this company lawyer has also succeeded in making the corporation attractive to outside buyers. The play opens as the corporation has been taken over by a large, faceless firm, and more than 3,000 people have been released from their jobs—including the general counsel.

Dennis McIntyre has written Modigliani, a portrait of the artist; Split Second, a study of the conflict between law and morality; and National Anthems, a look at the loss of values within the American family.
