Corporate Support: Sustaining the Human Spirit

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is America's living memorial to President Kennedy. It is the nation's busiest performing arts facility: each year the Center's seven theaters host approximately 2,000 performances. The Kennedy Center presents the greatest performers and performances of music, dance and theater, supports artists in the creation of new work; and serves the nation as a leader in arts education. Each season, Kennedy Center performances attract audiences of nearly two million, and an additional 20 million attend touring productions or tune into Center-related television, Internet, or radio broadcasts.

With more than 80% of the Center's operating income received from earned and contributed income, the need for corporate support is great.

Corporations are providing vital support for the Center’s ongoing programs in two ways:

  • Through annual support of the Corporate Fund; or
  • Through a variety of dynamic corporate sponsorships impacting the Kennedy Center's artistic and educational programming and special events.
