This is your opportunity to play a starring role for the Kennedy Center and the National Symphony Orchestra. As a Member, you can designate your contribution to support all Kennedy Center programs or the National Symphony Orchestra specifically. All memberships are tax-deductible less the fair market value of the benefits. Memberships start at just $60, which is fully tax-deductible.

Your membership contribution sustains a spectacular array of artistic and public service programs including education performances and activities that touch the lives of 11 million people each year, largely in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, but with extensions throughout the country.

While we are a federal presidential memorial, our artistic and outreach programs are privately supported. The Kennedy Center receives no direct federal appropriations for artistic programming. By law, our appropriations must be applied only to the maintenance of the actual building. Ticket sales and other earned income cover only 44% of our budget, which means we must raise around $67 million annually to deliver the kind of excellence on the stage and in our many programs for children, teachers, aspiring artists, and underserved communities that you -- and they -- have come to expect. Your membership is truly vital to our mission and financial well-being.
