On Saturday, September 26, the 2009 NSO Season Opening Ball will kick off the Kennedy Center and National Symphony Orchestra artistic seasons with a spectacular concert. World-renowned pianist Evgeny Kissin and Hungarian violinist József Lendvay, Jr., will join the Orchestra's Principal Conductor, Iván Fischer, for this enthralling performance in the Concert Hall. An elegant dinner and dancing on the South Plaza will follow.
This year, we are thrilled to have the 2009 Season Opening Ball chaired by April and John Delaney with Lou Kerr and Dick Sias, serving as National Chairs, and Helen Henderson as Honorary Chair. All proceeds of the evening support the Orchestra's many artistic, education, and community outreach programs.
