[Artist Insider Event with Edward Villella]

Members of the Producers' Circle level and higher were recently invited to spend an intimate evening with Edward Villella at an Artist Insider Event. A 1997 Kennedy Center honoree, Villella's contributions to the world of dance are many and notable. As a dancer with the New York City Ballet, he helped to bring the works of choreographer George Balanchine to life. As the founding and artistic director of the Miami City Ballet, Villella is helping to ensure the continued vitality of American ballet by sharing his gifts and knowledge.

The event, which took place on Friday, June 1, 2001, included a sumptuous dinner in the Education Resource Center, followed by an interview with Mr. Villella, which was moderated by National Public Radio dance correspondent, Kim Kokich. Mr. Villella was gracious and accommodating, taking the time to meet personally with Circles members. Insider Events are a benefit for all donors at the Producers' Circle level and higher. The purchase of a performance ticket is not required.
