Pooja Kumar "As a first-time volunteer at the Kennedy Center I had an absolutely fulfilling experience volunteering for the maximum INDIA festival in March 2011. As an individual of South Asian descent, I thought I knew it all—but this was truly a gratifying experience in the aspect of volunteering for the arts as well as learning more about my own heritage and culture. It was amazing to see the hard work, research, and collaborative efforts it took to make such an event possible.
