As part of the Kennedy Center's Nordic Cool 2013 festival, Grammy-nominated Swedish mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter joins fellow Swede Bengt Forsberg for a one-night-only recital concert. The first half of the program offers selections by Swedish composers W. Peterson-Berger, W. Stenhammar, and Sigurd von Koch; Finnsh composer Jean Sibelius, and Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. The all-French second part features works by Hahn, Chabrier, Debussy, and Canteloube. One of the finest singers of her generation, she's renowned for her diversity and artistry. Opera Now says, "She possesses one of the most flexible and natural vocal instruments of any living artist."
