Broadway, The Next Generation: ASCAP presents composers Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, who together created the documentary musical Witness Uganda (a.k.a. Invisible Thread). Witness Uganda received the Richard Rodgers Award as well as ASCAP’s Harold Adamson Lyric Award and Michelle and Dean Kay Award. Matthews and Gould have performed Witness Uganda: In Concert all over the U.S.—in schools, churches, theaters, concert halls, basements, and living rooms. This docu-musical is based on the struggles of Matthews’s organization UgandaProject, which he founded in 2005.
