2012 WNO Opera Ball Announced
The 2012 WNO Opera Ball will take place June 2 at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Washington, D.C. Reservations are now being accepted.
Washington National Opera on Millennium Stage
As part of The Music of Budapest, Prague, and Vienna, the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists will be performing on Millennium Stage Feb. 18 and in the Terrace Theater on Feb. 21. Members of the WNO Orchestra will be performing on Millennium Stage on Mar. 1. All performances are free and open to the public.

Verdi's Nabucco (Apr. 28-May 21) and Massenet's Werther (May 12-27), the final two operas in the WNO 11-12 season, are now on public sale.
Washington National Opera Announces New Wave of Artistic Initiatives
WNO has announced several new initiatives as part of a long-range plan to build on its tradition of artistic excellence, including the Washington premiere of Richard Wagner’s complete “American Ring” cycle in 2016 and a multipart New American Works Project for young American composers and librettists.
Francesca Zambello appointed Washington National Opera Artistic Advisor; Michael L. Mael named Executive Director
American director Francesca Zambello has been appointed the company’s Artistic Advisor, and current Chief Operating Officer Michael L. Mael has been named Executive Director. Along with Music Director Philippe Auguin and Director of Artistic Operations Christina Scheppelmann, Zambello and Mael complete WNO’s leadership team.
