For its 12th season, the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program, under the new leadership of Michael Heaston, will include 12 emerging artists in WNO performances throughout the season, and feature mentorship by its new Artist in Residence, the acclaimed American soprano Deborah Voigt.
Subscription series are now available for the WNO 2013-2014 season featuring Tristan and Isolde, The Force of Destiny, Moby-Dick, The Elixir of Love, and The Magic Flute plus many exciting options.

As part of WNO's American Opera Initiative, Approaching Ali by composer D.J. Sparr with libretto by Mark Campbell and Davis Miller, based on the book “The Tao of Muhammad Ali” by Davis Miller, will premiere June 8-9, 2013 in the Terrace Theater.
Acclaimed American opera director Francesca Zambello, formerly Washington National Opera's Artistic Advisor, is WNO's new Artistic Director.
