Kevin Miller Kevin Miller


American pianist Kevin Miller is in his second year as a pianist/coach in WNO's Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program. This season with WNO he will work as music staff on WNO's world premiere holiday opera, The Lion, the Unicorn, and Me, and last season he assisted on WNO's production of Norma. Mr. Miller returned to The Glimmerglass Festival Young Artist Program in summer 2013 for The Flying Dutchman and Passions, a double of works by Pergolesi and David Lang. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Merola Opera Program at San Francisco Opera. A consummate collaborator, he has appeared with Jessye Norman at Carnegie Hall on Laura Karpman's production of Langston Hughes's Ask Your Mama and partnered David Daniels in concert. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Mannes College and completed his Artistic Diploma and Masters of Music degree in Collaborative Piano at the University of Michigan with the world renowned Martin Katz. In 2008, he made his international solo debut in recital at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Other honors include full scholarships to the Aspen Summer Music Festival, Boston University Tanglewood Institute of Music, and the Bart Pitman Piano Competition Prize.
