DC Society is a national organization founded in 1963 by four women. The organization is dedicated to the intellectual, social and cultural development of youth in the arts. Members of the Society, Inc., include hundreds of professional women in 25 chapters across the United States promoting friendship and serving as an important resource for young people in literary, visual and performing arts. The Youth Arts Showcase Explosion is our signature event and this partnership has allowed the Society, Inc. to maximize scholarships, leverage resources and provide youth with the opportunity to perform in a state of the art theater, on an internationally recognized stage. After more than three decades of dedication to our talented young people the Society is proud to acknowledge these extraordinary talented students.
