Heaven Wilburn


Heaven aspires to perform in professional art/dance companies and become a well known choreographer. She is a currently attending Baltimore School for the Arts as a high school student where she has gained the majority of her dance training. Heaven has had the honor of attending summer intensives such as Dance Theatre of Harlem. She has performed works by noted choreographers such as George Balachine, Christopher D’Ambosie, Barry Hughson, Adrian Bolton and Katherine Smith. Along with her in interest in dance, she plans to become a Physical Therapist

Video 3/16/2019: Youth Arts EXPLOSION … Moving Full STEAM Ahead!

The Reston Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and the Washington, DC Chapter of The Society Incorporated, co-sponsors a bi-annual “Youth Arts Showcase Explosion … Moving Full STEAM Ahead” event, in collaboration with the Community Initiatives Education Division of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This year, six exceptionally talented African American High School seniors, from the DMV area, will showcase their talents on the Kennedy Center’s Millennium stage. Each competing student will be awarded a scholarship for advancing their education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM). Also, separate workshops will be held with parents of the students, and with the students to provide guidance on, “Having a Successful College Experience”, and, “Paving the Way to a Successful Performing Career.
