Biography

The Link’s Incorporated is an International, nonprofit organization established in 1946. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations with more than 15,000 professional women committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans.

Video 3/16/2019: Youth Arts EXPLOSION … Moving Full STEAM Ahead!

The Reston Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and the Washington, DC Chapter of The Society Incorporated, co-sponsors a bi-annual “Youth Arts Showcase Explosion … Moving Full STEAM Ahead” event, in collaboration with the Community Initiatives Education Division of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This year, six exceptionally talented African American High School seniors, from the DMV area, will showcase their talents on the Kennedy Center’s Millennium stage. Each competing student will be awarded a scholarship for advancing their education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM). Also, separate workshops will be held with parents of the students, and with the students to provide guidance on, “Having a Successful College Experience”, and, “Paving the Way to a Successful Performing Career.
