Valerie Tellmann-Henning

Valerie Tellmann-Henning* (Soloist) began her training at Tulsa Ballet and Lexington Ballet. She attended the Richmond Ballet's trainee program and continues as a member of the full company. She has since performed principal roles in Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, and Cinderella ; Balanchine ballets such as Valse Fantasie, Liebeslieder Waltzer, Concerto Barocco, Allegro Brillante, Mozartiana, and eralds ; as well as in Anthony Tudor's Jardin Aux Lilas and Agnes de Mille's Rodeo. She has originated roles with contemporary choreographers Ma Cong, Jessica Lang, Gina Patterson, Mauricio Wainrot, Val Caniparoli, William Soleau, Phillip Neal, and Malcolm Burn. She has spent summers performing with Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance in Asheville, North Carolina and National Choreographers Initiative in Irvine, California. She looks forward to her third season dancing alongside her husband Kirk Henning. Valerie joined The Suzanne Farrell Ballet in 2013.
