For more than 30 years, Joseph Kalichstein, Jaime Laredo, and Sharon Robinson have been the heart of the Fortas series, and the trio’s performances are always an audience favorite. Truly one of the “superstars of the chamber music world,” the ensemble’s skill and artistry are unmatched (The Washington Post).

Beethoven’s Piano Trios track most of his entire creative life—from the amazing opus one (the third of which, the C minor, is the fully formed volcano we immediately recognize) to the sublime “Archduke,” written when his deafness prevented him from playing. We constantly marvel anew at his restless imagination, his life-giving energy, and his emotional struggles. Still takes our breath away….
