OnStage Korea: 3rd Showcase of the 2019 Season
Choe Contemporary Dance Company: Chaos and Liar

Join us for the third showcase of the OnStage Korea 2019 Season as we welcome the innovative Choe Contemporary Dance Company from Korea to perform two of their signature modern dance works: Chaos and Liar.

The company's integration of multimedia, technology, and powerful choreography has earned it a reputation as one of Korea's most creative performing arts troupes. Chaos and Liar are two classic examples that also tackle issues faced by everyday people today, such as the impact of a fast-paced modern society on individuals and the prevalence of deception that comes with advanced technology. In speaking to these issues, Choe Contemporary Dance Company embraces and integrates the very things that have transformed life in the modern era: speed, complexity, and technology. The result is two unique performances that offer not only aesthetic and forceful dance but also a clear message about the world around us and how individuals can survive and thrive.

NOTE: This performance includes brief partial nudity and is recommended for mature audiences.

Performance Timing: Approximately 60 minutes, with no intermission.

Note: This is a FREE event and reservations are available through the Presenter Only. For further information and to make a reservation, you may call (202) 797-6343, send an email to, or click here.
