The Korean Cultural Center of DC presents
1,000 Years of Sound and Movement


This showcase program presents a variety of the most well-known Korean folk music and ensemble dance repertory, to demonstrate the abundance and profound richness of Korea's artistic traditions and heritage. It includes sanjo, a solo performance, and pansori, a musical genre that combines narrative song and storytelling. Also performing on the program is Samulnori, a traditional Korean percussion ensemble, whose players enthusiastically display vivid rhythms and the harmony of improvisation.

Performance Timing: Approximately 80 minutes, with no intermission.
