Young Concert Artists presents
Maxim Lando, piano

Sixteen-year-old American pianist Maxim Lando came to public attention when he appeared on the piano bench at 14 alongside pianist Lang Lang at Carnegie Hall’s Gala Opening Night, performing the part intended for Mr. Lang’s injured left hand. As First Prize Winner of the 2018 YCA International Auditions, he also won four performance prizes. He has soloed with Russia’s Mariinsky Theater Orchestra in St. Petersburg, the Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic, Kazakh State Philharmonic and the Israel Philharmonic. Gold Medal Winner at the 2017 Berlin International Competition and alumnus of the Lang Lang Music Foundation, he works with Hung-Kuan Chen (YCA Alumnus) and Tema Blackstone at the Juilliard Pre-College.

“Maxim Lando produced a variety of colorful, evocative images as the music unfolded. His spirit burned bright to the end.” (Cleveland Classical)
