Washington Performing Arts presents:
Simone Dinnerstein, piano, in Recital

Taking Erik Satie’s atmospheric and mysterious compositional form—the “Gnossienne”—as inspiration and point of departure, the ever-inventive pianist Simone Dinnerstein presents a centuries-spanning program of works in which (in her own words) “each composition evokes an act of worship from a service that no one has ever attended.” The program includes Gnossienne No. 3 by Erik Satie, complemented by pieces of François Couperin, Robert Schumann, and Philip Glass.

Performance Timing: TBA

Simone Dinnerstein will sign CDs following the performance, in the States Gallery outside of the Terrace Theater.
